Mr. Robert Teh, Jr.

Director Bureau of Trade, Industry and Services

Dr. Robert R. Teh Jr. is currently Director of the Bureau of Trade, Industry and Services at the ASEAN Secretariat. His main responsibility is to monitor the implementation of the Agreement on the Common Effective Preferential Tariff (CEPT) for the ASEAN Free Trade Area and to assist in supervising, coordinating and reviewing the implementation of the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA).

Dr. Teh obtained his Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, specializing in international finance and macroeconomics. Prior to his post at the ASEAN Secretariat, he served as research assistant at the Food Research Institute at Stanford University and taught at the University of the Philippines in Los Ba
